Built-in Wire Feeder

Supporting 0.8–1.6 mm filler wire, the integrated wire feeder eliminates the need for an external feeding unit. Everything is built into one compact system for a cleaner and more efficient workspace.

Compact Enough for Any Workspace

The 1300W model measures just 37.0 × 18.1 × 29.1 in, about the footprint of a compact rolling tool cabinet. Its all-in-one design fits comfortabl without taking over your workspace.

Confidence Starts with Safety.

Every safety mechanism works together. From grounding and key access to closed-circuit activation,to help protect both the operator and the workspace.

* Maximum welding thickness under ACMER laboratory test conditions. Actual performance may vary depending on material, shielding gas, joint design, and operating conditions.

** Requires a dedicated 200–240V single-phase AC circuit with proper grounding. Use copper conductors sized at 4 mm² (approximately 11 AWG) or larger, rated for at least 30A. A 32A circuit breaker is recommended. Installation must comply with applicable local electrical codes.

FAQs

Got Questions About ACMER XMetal? We’ve Got Answers.

What’s the difference in welding capacity between the 900W and 1300W models?

The 1300W model offers greater single-sided penetration, welding up to 6 mm stainless steel/carbon steel, compared to 4 mm on the 900W model. Choose the 900W model for everyday fabrication and repair, or the 1300W model when you need deeper penetration and greater welding capacity on thicker materials.

I have no laser welding experience. Is ACMER XMetal easy to learn?

Yes. ACMER XMetal is designed with beginners in mind. In Simple Mode, simply select the weld type, material, and material thickness, and the machine automatically applies the recommended parameters through built-in presets. This significantly reduces the learning curve, allowing new users to start welding with confidence in just a short time. For experienced users, Expert Mode provides full manual parameter control for advanced applications.

What shielding gas should I use?

ACMER XMetal supports nitrogen (N₂), argon (Ar), and carbon dioxide (CO₂). Nitrogen is the recommended choice for most stainless steel and carbon steel applications, while argon is ideal for aluminum and premium weld quality. CO₂ can be used for certain carbon steel welding where lower gas cost is preferred.

What safety features does ACMER XMetal offer?

Safety is built into every step of operation. ACMER XMetal features a contact-activated laser circuit that helps prevent unintended laser emission, along with an Emergency Stop, key switch, and proper grounding protection for enhanced operational safety. An OD8-rated pair of laser safety glasses is included, so you’re ready to work safely right out of the box.

What safety precautions should I follow before using ACMER XMetal?

1.  Always wear certified laser safety glasses and protective gloves. Keep reflective and flammable materials away from the laser work area.

2.  Turn off the laser and disconnect power before maintenance. Repairs should only be performed by qualified personnel.

3.  Turn on the shielding gas before welding or testing, and keep the pressure below 0.5 MPa.

4.  Do not block the air inlet or outlet, and regularly check the cooling system.

5.  Make sure the machine is properly grounded before use.

What are the power requirements for ACMER XMetal?

What are the power requirements for ACMER XMetal?

ACMER XMetal operates on single-phase 220V AC and should be connected to a dedicated 32A circuit with proper grounding. For safe and reliable operation, do not use a household power strip. Please refer to the User Manual for complete electrical and installation requirements.

What is the warranty policy for ACMER XMetal?

ACMER XMetal includes a 12-month limited warranty covering the machine’s main components, including the screen, cables, key switch, PCB board, and other major parts. The laser module is eligible for one free replacement within 12 months.

Is a laser welder better than traditional TIG or MIG welding?

Laser welding offers higher welding speeds, lower heat input, and cleaner welds with less post-processing. It is ideal for sheet metal fabrication, custom metalwork, repair work, and applications where precision, appearance, and productivity are important. TIG and MIG remain suitable for heavy structural welding and applications requiring larger filler deposits.

What materials can ACMER XMetal weld?

ACMER XMetal is compatible with a wide range of metals, including stainless steel, aluminum, carbon steel, titanium, brass, galvanized steel, magnesium, nickel, and zinc alloys. Refer to the tech specs for the full list of supported material grades.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION

The ACMER Metal is a Class 4 laser product. Improper use may result in serious injury or equipment damage.

Please read and follow all safety instructions before operation.

LASER SAFETY

Laser poses safety risks to humans. Always wear professional protective goggles and gloves during welding.

KEEP WORK AREA SAFE

Do not place reflective objects around the laser system during welding. Keep personnel and flammable/explosive materials away from laser exposure to avoid injury.

POWER OFF AFTER USE

Turn off the laser switch after welding. When servicing the laser, shut off all power and allow only qualified personnel to perform maintenance.

SHIELDING GAS REQUIRED

Always enable shielding gas (pressure below 0.5 MPa) before welding or debugging. Failure to do so may damage optical lenses and affect welding quality.

ENSURE PROPER COOLING

Ensure proper cooling during machine operation. Do not block air inlets or outlets. Check cooling performance regularly.

PROPER GROUNDING

The machine must be properly grounded, or it will not function correctly.
