ACMER S1 Portable Laser Engraver Mini Machine

I bought the S1 6W late November 2025. I love this laser machine. It is the perfect size both engraving area and wattage for learning on, and I continually use it now alongside my P3 for engraving slate coasters and other fine detail engravings. It is so light and portable, and takes up very little space. The S1 is truly and beginners laser machine, and one for continued use for any items you want to engrave.

One of my friends went through a laser engraving phase and after they had their fun with it gave it to me unfortunately he lost the laser cover but the support team was quick to help me with getting a replacement for it and I'm looking forward to trying it out myself but all of his engravings turned out super clear and he hasn't had any issues with it so I'm beyond excited to get the replacement part ordered and start engraving everything in my apartment.

Works really well with no faults so far. Used for a few jobs and has great detail even when engraving smaller than 3mm

HELLO ACMER TEAM, I REALLY ENJOYING PLAYING WITH THIS MINI LASER MACHINE, I TRYLING TO LEARN ABOYT SOFTWARES MORE, I'M USING lasergrbl AND AMCER TOOL BETA, ACMER TOOL IS MORE USEFUL AND EASY TO LEARN BUT ITS MORE LIMITED COMPARE TO GRBL, ICOUNT FIND IN GRBL HOW TO SET MULTIPLE WORKING STUFF AND TO CENTRALIZE ON OBJECT, IM NEW IN THIS FIELD. BUT LIKED, ANOTHER STUFF, THE LASER MODULE AT 2.5W IS REALLY SMALL AT POWER I WILL ORDER AROUND 6 OR 10 W MODULE. FOR ENGRAVE STONES AND ROCKS

I'm getting this for Christmas, but of course, I had to test it to make sure it worked on delivery. (Please tell my wife this if she asks!)

I got it working, and was able to engrave a metal business card before she made me put it away until Christmas.

Setup was incredibly easy - I expected a major assembly project, but it was literally unpack, attach the laser module, load up the software (I used AcmerTool on my Mac, I know that LaserGRBL and LightBurn are options, of course). Adjusted power levels, and it worked like a charm. I'm really impressed!

I'm a University instructor, teaching Computer Science, and in specific, embedded systems are my "thing". This is the best out-of-box experience I've had to date with this sort of equipment.

I look forward to making things with this unit, and to making some instructional videos about it.
